.Á la duck.

The Á La Duck series is one of the few pieces that I had given myself the challenge of working on; Pop art inspired works to help better develop my process and style. The piece was inspired by the seeming tradition and incorporation of ice cream within the beginning of my research on the Pop Art movement. I wanted to have my own spin of the cold confection and decided to incorporate the usage rubber ducks. To the average person, a rubber duck is either a simple toy to be used for everyone's bath time or a rarity to be collected, swapped, and lost... This alongside the usage of icecream inspired me in wanting to explore the variation of ducks...of flavors...of flavored ducks! And so the hat wearing milk or sherbert infused Á La Duck series was born!
